Sex Education
One of the best ways of maintaining safe sex is through sex education. The aim of sex
education is to lessen the risks posed by dangerous sexual practices simply by
educating people about how to avoid sexually transmitted diseases, and also
unwanted pregnancy. As well, sex education in many countries is often aimed at
contributing to a positive sexual experience for young people through the
enhancement of their relationships and their ability to make educated decisions
about their sex life.
Sex education is often given at school, but has been
shown to be equally effective, and in some cases even more so, as part of good parenting. Another good
source of sex education can be sex books, though often
for reasons of sexual pleasure rather than practicing safe sex.
